eta plus® is the semi-finished product for the solar industry and is processed as absorbers for flat solar panels with full surface or strip absorbers, tubular collectors as well as air and large area façade solar panels. It achieves a very high solar absorbance level of 95 % – combined with a very low thermal emittance of only 5 %.
Starting with an aluminium or copper strip, the innovative absorbent coating system is applied by a continuous PVD method using an air-to-air vacuum process which is technologically unique.
Further applications: In addition, eta plus® allows the production of high performance collectors for solar cooling and the generation of process heat.
For heat production, the special mirotherm® coating absorbs not only the direct solar radiation, but also diffuse radiation.
